Today's media is less about objective information and more about pushing an agenda. It is basically free advertising for the anti-nuke kooks. It may not be completely homogeneous, but the media is very strongly concentrated on the kook side.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10911751.post-58981308293008128582012-03-12T12:10:47.006-04:002012-03-12T12:10:47.006-04:00It's amusing, but also sad, to sometimes see a...It's amusing, but also sad, to sometimes see all this tea party ranting about "the media," as if it were a homogenous whole conspiring against the poor nuclear underdogs, on a message board that usually otherwise hosts cogent discussions, with contributions from nuclear power supporters and opponents.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10911751.post-18319499224699291692012-03-11T17:26:01.263-04:002012-03-11T17:26:01.263-04:00NG is the worst of the worst when it comes to GHG ...NG is the worst of the worst when it comes to GHG damage to the atmosphere. NG is essentially methane, and one ton of methane released into the air does the same amount of damage as 70 tons of CO2. Just the loss of NG into the air during extraction processes dwarfs entire nuclear lifecycle carbon footprint.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10911751.post-82776563253185799702012-03-11T07:19:12.237-04:002012-03-11T07:19:12.237-04:00Isn't it funny how all of sudden the media and...Isn't it funny how all of sudden the media and commercials have totally omitted mentioning that "clean" natural gas is a FOSSIL FUEL and a greenhouse contributor?
