Entergy will move the company's administrative functions to the former WorldCom headquarters on I-20.
Carolyn Shanks, chief executive officer of Entergy Mississippi, said it was important to establish a central location for managerial responsibilities.
"The facility was very attractive because we could quickly walk in and set up the office," Shanks said. "This allows us to have more normal operations."
UPDATE: The three utilities impacted by Hurricane Katrina are starting to get the power flowing again.
