EnAct (Energy in Action), a Web site focusing on grass-roots advocacy for nuclear energy, is relaunching its web site.
Previously, EnAct functioned solely as a tool to help nuclear supporters contact their legislators. The new site has expanded to provide nuclear proponents with the resources and networking tools to build and sustain advocacy and grass-roots programs in their communities. Viewers will find the latest news, state-specific facts on nuclear's benefits, and links to information on various issues. Soon, EnAct will also offer a calendar of events, advocacy success stories, and tips on starting or managing a local advocacy group.
The goal is for EnAct to be the ‘one-stop shop’ for proponents to find tools to advocate on behalf of nuclear science and technology on the local, state and federal levels. The content will be driven by representatives from various professional organizations associated with nuclear science and technology.
