Chile Nuclear Update

Last month, we heard that Argentina was re-starting its nuclear program. And now the latest news is that Chile is thinking things over too:

Chile, heavily dependent on Argentine natural gas and adequate rainfall for its power generation, aims to diversify its energy sources in the medium term.

"My government's fundamental political decisions have already been made and what I've said is that we are going to carry out the necessary studies so that future governments can make their decisions," Bachelet said during a ceremony at a fuel plant near Santiago.
Currently, Chile has a pair of research reactors.
